As a hobby farmer, who has also represented clients before the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Greg Crosslin has a unique perspective on legal issues facing the Agricultural industry. From being an organic farmer to representing pest management professionals, being involved in establishing IPM standards to representing pesticide manufacturers, distributors, and dealers, Greg is uniquely positioned to serve the legal needs of his agricultural clients. From apiary owners to small family growers to agri-business enterprises, the firm is involved in various critical aspects facing farmers and in protecting Florida's farming industry.
The firm works closely with FDACS and Greg is registered with Fresh Farm Florida, having adopted its BMPs for his own farm and orchard. He has been involved in crop damage cases, over spray matters with the use of pesticides, runoff claims, and agricultural adviser claims. He was involved in one of the initial cases regarding runoff into the St. Johns River and has been before various local and municipal bodies regarding application of fertilizers, zoning, and applicator ordinance issues.
Simultaneously, we work with our clients and counsel them in business administration, business formation, contracts, transactional matters, as well as estate planning for farmers and their families.
